While news of Disney cutting ties left the fandom anxious, the Rangers might not be down for the count just yet. Recent reports indicate that Amazon Prime Video is in active negotiations to pick up the series and give the long-running franchise a new streaming home.

Shift in the Grid: From Disney+ to Amazon Prime
The road to revitalizing Power Rangers for a modern audience has been anything but smooth. When Disney+ stepped into the picture alongside Hasbro, fans hoped the massive backing would finally deliver a high-budget, cinematic overhaul. However, project shifts and budget considerations ultimately led Disney to walk away, leaving the franchise in limbo once again.

Enter Amazon Prime Video. Given Amazon’s recent success with action-heavy, world-building adaptations like The Boys, Fallout, and The Lord of the Rings, Prime Video could offer the creative freedom and visual scope that Power Rangersdesperately needs. If the deals finalize, the platform could become the ultimate haven for both long-time fans and a new generation of viewers.

The Dream Combination: White Tigerzord Meets Falconzord
As mentioned in our previous article, if Amazon officially takes the reins, there’s one iconic fan-favorite concept we are desperately hoping to see on screen: combining Tommy Oliver’s White Tigerzord and Falconzord into the ultimate Griffin Megazord.

During the Mighty Morphin era, Tommy’s White Tigerzord and Falconzord were two of the most memorable Zords in Ranger lore. While the Falconzord famously docked with the White Tigerzord (and later the Ninjetti Megazord) as a backpack/wing system, fans have always dreamed of a complete hybrid fusion that reimagines these mythical beasts.
Creating a dedicated Griffin Megazord formation—combining the fiercely grounded power of the White Tiger with the majestic aerial dominance of the Falcon—would fulfill decades of fan wish fulfillment. It’s precisely the kind of deep-cut nostalgia and high-octane redesign that could launch Amazon’s series into legendary status.

What’s Next for the Rangers?
While negotiations between Hasbro, 20th Television, and Amazon are still underway, the potential move signals that the franchise is far from extinct. Fans will need to hang tight as ink hits paper, but the prospect of a high-production Prime Video series—and maybe, just maybe, the realization of the Griffin Megazord—gives us plenty of reason to keep our Morphers ready.
